Dr. Mahshad Darvish-Zargar is an accomplished ophthalmologist and cornea specialist based in Montreal, Quebec. With a distinguished educational background, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of British Columbia and completed his medical degree and MBA at McGill University, where he also served as Chief Resident during his ophthalmology residency. Dr. Darvish-Zargar further honed his expertise with a cornea fellowship at the Cincinnati Eye Institute and an observership at the Singapore National Eye Center.
Currently, Dr. Darvish-Zargar serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and the Director of the Cornea Fellowship at McGill University. He specializes in Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), Corneal Cross-Linking (CXL), cataracts, and general ophthalmology, having performed over 10,000 procedures. Recognized for his exceptional teaching and surgical skills, he is the recipient of multiple awards, including McGill University’s Frank Buller Award for Outstanding Clinical and Surgical Instruction. Beyond his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Darvish-Zargar contributes as a cornea section editor for the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology and remains an active member of several professional associations.
