Dr. Thi Bich Thao Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen is a distinguished ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and refractive surgery in Montreal. She obtained her medical degree from l’Université de Montréal and completed her ophthalmology residency at l’Université Laval in Quebec City. Further refining her expertise, she studied at Stanford University and pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of California, Irvine. With extensive experience in advanced laser technologies, Dr. Nguyen was one of the first ophthalmologists in Canada to work with femtosecond lasers, solidifying her role as a pioneer in the field.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Nguyen is an accomplished educator, teaching ophthalmology at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal and cataract surgery at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine. A recipient of numerous accolades, including the Governor General’s Medal and research awards, she has presented her work at major international conferences and co-authored multiple studies. Dr. Nguyen is also an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
